SparkDesk vs Zoho
Zoho offers an app for everything. SparkDesk puts client work in one place.
Zoho's suite covers almost every business function with separate apps. SparkDesk keeps the client lifecycle in one product, on one record, with one set of permissions.
The short answer
If you want a broad suite that covers accounting, HR, marketing and more across a growing company, and you are happy to configure several apps, Zoho is a strong option, and its accounting app goes far beyond what SparkDesk offers. If you are a client-service team that wants CRM, contracts, projects, time, invoices and a client portal to just work together without stitching apps, SparkDesk is simpler to run day to day.
What Zoho does well
- A broad suite of separate apps covering CRM, accounting, projects, support and more.
- A full accounting app with online payments and bank connections.
- Deep customization options in its CRM.
- Mobile apps across many of its products.
Where SparkDesk is different
- One product and one record: the deal, contract, project, time and invoice are the same client, not synced copies.
- One permissions model, with visibility roles, per-module permissions and an audit log across everything.
- Flows that create invoices from approved time on a set cycle.
- A first-party MCP server whose scope covers CRM, projects, timers and invoices together.

SparkDesk vs Zoho: questions
Something else? Ask us.
Can SparkDesk replace Zoho Books?
Not as a full accounting system. SparkDesk handles invoices, credit notes, recorded payments, transactions and reconciliation, but it has no bank feeds, online payments or QuickBooks and Xero sync.
Why one product instead of a suite?
In SparkDesk the deal, contract, project, timesheets and invoices are one client record, so there is nothing to sync and one permissions model covers it all.
Is there a mobile app?
No. SparkDesk runs in the browser.
